Mom, Family Therapist, & Educator

With a passion for education and a deep love for children, I found myself in a classroom full of spirited first graders in a small Central American village in 2011. While I knew what I wanted to teach these little ones, I struggled to manage their behaviors long enough to effectively deliver the content.

Exhausted and frustrated, I realized that my approach of endless warnings, threatened removal of privileges, and a stern voice wasn't working. It was clear that something needed to change.

Through tears and conversations with fellow teachers and therapists, I discovered that I had been too focused on imparting knowledge, neglecting the crucial step of building relationships with my students.

The power and necessity of connection became evident in all of my relationships.

Intrigued by this revelation, I returned to the classroom to explore ways to foster this connection. I pursued a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in early childhood modalities, and developed expertise in working with families of young children. Witnessing the dedication and hard work of the families I supported, I have been genuinely thrilled to see the incredible transformations in their relationships.

However, it wasn't until I became a parent myself that I truly understood the challenges and joys of raising children, as well as the difficulty in finding the support needed. I realized that very few parents have the time or resources to pursue a degree in marriage and family therapy, attend weekly family therapy sessions, or read through numerous parenting books. That's why I am here to support you in your parenting journey and provide accessible tools for busy caregivers.

I have witnessed firsthand how these strategies can increase relationship satisfaction while decreasing negative interactions.
